  These works were inspired by botanical perfume jars I created using natural treasures gathered close to home -- foraged in the nearby canyon, gathered in the hidden hollow up the road, even plucked from the familiar bushes in the yard of my childhood home.
  
  When we are looking for stability and peace, we often go to our roots and find strength in the foundation that has been there all along. With this work, I am seeking beauty and contentment right here where my feet are planted, even as my soul longs for higher planes and magic that exists beyond this world.
